The time-honored Yue Kee Rattan Factory was founded in the 1950s and is managed by Master Chan Sang Kuen and his wife Teresa Ng. It is one of the very few remaining rattan shops in Hong Kong, witnessing the glory of Hong Kong’s rattan industry. In the 1980s and 1990s, they focused on overseas markets and collaborated with many foreign designers to produce a variety of rattan items, such as rattan peacock chair, shell chair, rocking chair, baby cradle and animal shaped basket, etc. In addition to selling rattan products, it is also a rare local rattan shop that accepts customization and restoration services.
