https://www.craftsonpeel.wecreatelabs.com.hk/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Jacky-Lam.png831900林昆佑在香港土生土長，畢業於香港演藝學院舞台及製作藝術學士和香港浸會大學視覺藝術文學碩士。林昆佑鑽研木材工藝的契機，始於其修讀舞台製作時，為表演製造木質道具、佈置的經歷。他課餘時常請教時任高級講師John Philips 有關製造樂器的知識，因此先接觸西洋樂器經常應用到的法式拋光工藝。後來則受到東方漆藝所啟發，轉而着力自學鍛鍊。除了木工、雕刻以外，漆藝也是他的其中一個重心工藝。從工藝到機械技術，林昆佑致力探索傳統工藝在當代的意義。
